Shaping Our Reality, With Beliefs Shaping Our Reality

I’ve been doing a good deal of thinking on beliefs lately. As I vacillate between some my favorite mentors on the subject, like, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Seth (channeled through Jane Roberts), Teal Swan, and newer-to-me brilliant minds such as, Nassim Haramein, and Vishen Lakhiani, I find a deeper sense of understanding about the idea, from not only a spiritual reality but also a scientific reality, as the two are merging together more in the mainstream, now.
Of the theories on what beliefs are and how they help or harm us that seems to hold the most weight In arguments about the nature of our reality, inner and outer, is that beliefs come from thoughts that are had then emotions are felt, and then thoughts are had based on the emotions felt, all-together creating an experience that will be captured in some way within the operating system based on time spent doing it or the weight of the emotions you felt. Doing this over and over again, as humans do, creates beliefs; beliefs about self, and the world around us. So basically, your thoughts, no matter where they began or what keeps them going, are what creates our beliefs and beliefs shape AND color our subjective reality. When a repeated thought becomes a belief about ourselves or reality, it sets up a pathway in the operating system (sub-conscious) from which the interface program (mind-body) can glean from when we are multitasking or when in fight, flight or freeze, and when in minor to major stress. In these cases we are reacting or Re-acting. Just playing out the old, outdated system as conscious thought is working on other things. That doesn't always serve so we want to constantly be able to rewrite and upgrade this default program! The hang-up is how? knowing how they got there in the first place is step one.
Knowing the methods they go in is where we come back to, to change it. Typically it was through theta brain waves (hypnosis and monkey see, monkey do), repetition, and powerful emotional ties to an event. To me the best options for re-entry are repetition, and hypnosis. Hypnosis being the first option and repetition to follow. Since we have such a nice variety of options to get us to that state of theta, from seeing a professional to guided audio sessions and meditation, hypnosis gives us the quickest route to the operating system. Then, repetition can help set up the program (mind-body). Of course if your a bit of a dare-devil you can add in the powerful emotional ties as a way to set in something new but, this one is quite variable. We see this type with trauma but, also profound uplifting experiences.
We have the ability to regain control of that operating system and the vibration of the current thoughts we think despite the belief that the subconscious is to deep to get to, or the belief that this is already who we are. Many of the personality traits we have at the moment are just strongly held beliefs that were jammed into the operating system by default. Time to delete some apps and make space! Let's rewrite ourselves with awareness, openness and intention.
But, there is a step that cannot be over looked when we begin THE WORK (Byron Katie) of restructuring who we are, and while we decide what reset method we are going to use. That super important step that takes us from spiritual ego and spiritual bypassing to true applicable progress is knowing where we are and who we are fundamentally. There is NO progress without this. REPEAT, there is no progress without knowing who and where we actually are now. This is the hardest part and requires a soft heart yet, tough skin. Looking at ourselves can be super uncomfortable. Get to know yourself and your beliefs. Constantly dig into who you are and what your true likes and dislikes are. During the process of finding that, you make adjustments as you go. This process is The Work. You will, so called, "make mistakes", and meet up against the ego you are attempting to integrate during The Work. This is meant to happen and is part of the process. Why? Well, imagine all the set in thoughts and beliefs that can be present in one person. Those big beliefs will lead you to others and other smaller ones off of that, and you will find conflicting beliefs and patterns of behavior, too. Without these cues from our actions and thoughts, trying to change and integrate all parts of ourselves would be pretty difficult. So, be kind to yourself in this process because this is what I belief we are truly here to do and it will be the parts that help you grow.
I will add, that the reason for doing any of this is to change habits that no longer serve us, and in effect tend to make us and those around us feel like crap. For leading a richer more fulfilled life, attracting mates and friends who help us be our best selves, for extending our life for our children and loved ones, for feeling like less of a burden to ourselves and society when all we really want to do is help. When looking for a method to use to rewrite the program from the space of the operating system, check out some of the names mentioned in this posting as a starting point, and then move around as needed to find those people who speak your language. Go out and find professionals around you who you trust to guide you through some of the processes, meditations and yoga to facilitate for you your greatest change. Have some fun with this and move through with grace as often as possible.
